Electrical Grade 1142 Woven Fiberglass E-Cloth Used For Surfboards
1. Description
Glass fabrics (also known as fiberglass fabrics) typically have excellent shear strength, thermal stability, and electrical properties, all of which make them suitable for composite applications in a variety of industries. We offer a range of glass finish options to suit various resin systems and other material requirements and ensure that the final material meets our customers' performance requirements.
2. Properties
"Electrical Grade" fiberglass was initially developed for electrical wire insulation but later was found to exhibit good reinforcement strength when coupled with a plastic resin.
3. Fiberglass Cloth Application
E fiberglass cloth is the most common fiberglass cloth used to glass a surfboard. E-glass is easy to wet with polyester or epoxy resin and laps around the rails easily.
